6th Uniformed Groups Bowling Championships 2010

Hi Gentlemen!

Guo Chen here. I would like to take this chance to tell you guys more about the Uniformed Groups Bowling Championships.

Hwa Chong Institution National Police Cadet Corps Unit has been organising the Inter-School Bowling Competition since 1999. In 2004, we extended the Competition to members from all the nine Uniformed Groups in Singapore. We have been receiving strong support from the schools and positive feedback from the student participants. This will be the sixth year that the unit is organising the Uniformed Groups Bowling Championships.

The objectives of the Championships are to increase the rapport among the student population from the different Uniformed Groups by giving them an opportunity to interact with one another and to promote a healthy lifestyle among the students. At the same time, the Championships will serve as a prelude to the Singapore Youth Olympic Games.

The details are as follows:
Preliminary Round: 11 June 2010 (Friday) - 1000h – 1330h
Finals: 25 June 2010 (Friday) - 0900h – 1200h
Venue: Orchid Country Club Bowling Alley
Entry Fee: S$25.00 per team of 3 bowlers and 1 reserve (compulsory)

My team and I have been planning for this competition since November last year. Sincerely hope that you guys can support us by joining the competition. Those who love playing bowling, do come down! Would greatly appreciate if you guys can get your friends from other UGs to join us too! (:

Don't let the entry fee turn you away. It really isn't much for the bowling. You won't be able to bowl for much less than that amount anyway! In addition, participating in this competition will also give you more exposure to the organisation of big-scale competitions which will place you in good stead for your future.

I look forward to your active participation. If you are interested, please form your teams and contact me at sguoc@yahoo.com.sg.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,
Guo Chen

NPAP - A Note of Thanks.

hi all,

A note of thanks to our intrepid band of six Sec 2 cadets who braved countless trainings, the elements, getting home late, Cadet Inspectors, Police Force Field Instructors and HQ Staff Officers to bring honour to SJI NPCC. They finally completed the long road to the NPAP on Saturday, 17 Apr 2010 and gave their best in a wonderful performance at the parade despite the gloomy weather and the threat of rain.

To Toby, Nathaniel, Ryan, Yuan Ker, Mevan and Shao Jie, thank you for your dedication. You have done SJI NPCC proud!

Best Wishes,
