2nd and 3rd Class Drill Test

To all Sec 1s and 2s,

Please note that you will be having your 2nd and 3rd class drill tests on this Friday,19th November 2010 from 0800 to 1200. Please report to SJI NPCC HQ in FULL UNIFORM.

Both the drill tests will be assessed based on:
Uniform Standards - 20%
Drill Standards - 40%
Word Of Command (WOC)- 40%

The uniform standards are supposed to be in tip top condition and we should not be able to spot any mistakes. For pointers on the uniform standards, please refer to the Cadets Manual.

The drill standards of each squad also plays an important part in the marking criteria. Remember the most basic things such as no fidgeting and executing each and every drill sharply and swiftly.

The WOC is a very crucial and essential component in this test and we are looking out for clarity, loudness, confidence, variety of commands given and logical sequence of commands given. As usual please remember to give all commands in the ICE(I-Introductory, C-Cautionary, E-Executive) format and be confident of yourself.

For the Sec 1s- You will be required to know the mission, vision and the NPCC Pledge. Please take this seriously and spend some time studying these as they play a crucial part in your promotions. Refer to the cadets manual. Thus you are required to bring writing materials on Friday.

For Sec 2s- Please take note the compulsory drills and bonus drills that are supposed to be given for WOC. the Compulsory drills are:
-Dressing (Ke - Kanan Lu - Rus)
-Turning drills
-Marching in advance and review order (Akan Mara, Untuk Diperhatikan Semula, Dari Tengah, Cepat - Ja - Lan)
-Pledge Taking
-Saluting
-Marching
-Pacing

The rest are optional and will serve as bonus if given.
Also remember your logical sequencing of commands.
Everyone is encouraged to give more commands to score in variety section and ultimately have a score worthy of passing.

Sec 1s and 2s: Note that the squad is supposed to return to the original position after every WOC session. There will be a short drill practice just before the test itself. Please refer to the Cadet Manual for the drills. The passing score will be 65%.Please prepare and inform others too. Good luck.

Thank you
Regards,
Surya
