Leadership Appointments 2015/16
Dear Sec 3s,
Congrats on your new CL appointments. The leadership roles are a testament of your contributions and achievements for the past 3 years and it is finally your turn to step up and lead the unit.
Your appointments are based on many factors:
(1) CL Interview
(2) Leadership preferences
(3) Individual achievements and competencies for the past 3 years
(4) Overall group dynamics
(5) Input from your HO, CIs, Tutors
(6) Practicum Observations
In this year, we have made some changes to the organisational structure of the unit. As you all know, there will only be 1 DySI post henceforth. Both the SI and DySI will choose their area of purview in discussion with the TOs; be it either one taking the Training or Admin Wing. The top 3 posts of SI, DySI and UP will now be categorised under a new appointment called 'Unit Commanders (UC)'. The current Key Appointment Holders (KAH) will also be renamed as 'Heads of Departments (HOD)'. The Chief Firearms Instructor post has also been removed.
With this, I hope the new Batch 43 of CLs will take a step forward in leading the unit. As much as you may think you are ready for this, it takes a lot of effort and time to communicate with your peers and squads under your wing, to think thoroughly on the planning and to reflect on the execution. This is also a good platform for all of you to challenge yourself and set a good example to the younger ones who will be inspired by you. This being said, all the TOs have faith that with whatever appointments that you assume, you will continue to guide the unit and when you step down in Sec 4, you would be able to tell yourself that you have made a difference in your Secondary school life.
May you enjoy this journey as a batch and grow together as one.
The appointments are:
DySI Unit: Lim Ji Xuan
Unit Provost: Yeo Yu Jun
